The XDC Network, an enterprise-grade LAYER 1 blockchain launched by XinFin in 2017, marks six years on mainnet and eight years of real-world blockchain adoption. Known for its applications in trade finance, payments, and asset tokenization, the network has processed over 801 million transactions, mined 89 million blocks, and supports 261 validator nodes and 178,000 smart contracts.

September 2024 saw the launch of XDC 2.0, introducing Solidity 0.8.23 support, LayerZero for cross-chain OFT token transfers, and Etherspot-powered gasless dApp transactions. Enhanced transparency arrives via XDCScan.io V2 and Etherscan integration with OpenScan, while XDC Subnet provides private blockchain capabilities within the ecosystem.
